Y&R Scoop: Chance Chancellor Tells Adam Newman He's Better Than This

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, August 16 reveals Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will tell Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to get a life.

Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be frustrated with his father. Plus, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will tell Adam off. And Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will return home, only to find out a major conflict is still brewing.

Y&R spoilers tease Nick will ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) what his plan is. “The minute the media get a hold of this it’ll be a nightmare,” Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will add. Victor will tell them he spoke to Sally. “When are you gonna get it?” Nick will say. “You’re just making things worse.” He’ll point out they’ll look like they’ve got something to hide if every other media outlet publishes something and they don’t. Victor will shut him down and leave.

Y&R Daily Scoop – Lily Asks If Devon Is Overreacting

At Chancellor Winters, Lily will return, and discover a gift from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on her desk. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will walk into her office and tell her Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) got offended by his criticism. He doesn’t believe Nate would be acting this way if he wasn’t reporting to his cousin. Lily will ask Devon if he’s overreacting but he’ll deny it.

Young And The Restless Scoop: Lily Winters And Devon Hamilton Discuss A Family Conflict

Meanwhile, Sally will run into Chance at Crimson Lights. She’ll try to pump him for information but to no avail. Talk will turn to Adam. “Strangely enough, because of the investigation, he won’t leave me alone,” she’ll admit. Chance will leave and Adam will appear. She’ll ask him how long he’s been standing there. “Long enough to hear you try to wheedle information out of Chance,” Adam will respond.

Adam will tell Sally she mustn’t know much if she’s asking Chance about the investigation into Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death. “If we’re still going to trade secrets, you’re going to have to be the one who goes first,” Adam will tell her. She’ll thank him for reminding her of why it’s best they are apart. “I shouldn’t have to beg and barter for you to treat me with basic human decency.” Then she’ll lie and tell Adam she knows nothing.

Young And The Restless Scoop – Newman Media Isn’t Touching It

Sally will return to Newman Media, to find Nick waiting for her. She’ll ask if they had a meeting. He’ll say no. However,  more information is going to come out soon and his entire family will be dragged through the mud. “Let me ease your mind,” she’ll reply. “Newman Media is not touching this story.” Nick will ask if she’s backing away because of his father. “I’m not doing it because I’m fed up with people who pry into everyone’s personal lives.” Nick will say he expected some pushback from her. “I want to make a name for myself but not at your family’s expense,” Sally will reply.

Finally, Chance will spot Adam at Society and will tell him there’s no way he’s working with him. Then he’ll blast him for the way he treated Sally. “I don’t know why…but that woman really cared about you,” he’ll say. Adam will grin. “Man, look at you, just wallowing in your character flaws,” Chance will comment.  But Adam will say he’s being realistic about who he really is. Then Chance will tell him to get a life. “Find a new path, a better direction,” he’ll continue. “Because all I see is you just falling into old habits. And it pisses me off man, because you had it in you to be better than this.”
